Happy Birthday WWW

On August 6, 1991 the World Wide Web debuted as a publically available service on the internet!!!
Tim Berners-Lee its inventor, posted a short summary of the World Wide Web project on the alt.hypertext newsgroup. The very first website was a few pages describing the project itself. It was built at CERN and provided an explanation about what the World Wide Web was, how one could own a browser and how to set up a Web server. It was also the world's first Web directory, since Berners-Lee maintained a list of other Web sites apart from his own.

Well... now 18 yrs later we cant imagine a life without the internet!!! So that explains the importance of that debut.
